Our Pastor / Administrator

Michael and his wife Jo Ann, who have been married since 1985, are natives of New Orleans, LA. They have one daughter, Jovette, and a grandson, Jacorion. Michael is a minister of the gospel with over 20 years of ministry experience in planning, coordinating, and conducting worship services through singing, preaching, and teaching God’s Word. He serves as Administrator, Ministers God’s Word, and functions as a technical assistant.

He holds Bachelor of Science degrees from Liberty University in Biblical & Theology Studies and Trident University in Information Technology Management. He retired from the U.S. Army as a Master Sergeant with over twenty-five years of active service. He enjoys bowling, tinkering with computers, golf, and music.

I came to First Free Will Baptist Church in 2018 finally placing membership in 2021.  The leadership and doctrine are sound, and I am looking forward to serving God’s people.  The congregation is welcoming and together we are all seeking to be transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit to reflect Jesus to each other, our friends, our community, and our world.  I believe our greatest days lie ahead of us.  

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.  And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart” (Jer 29:11-13). (KJV).
